According to the needs of construction projects of transmission and energy (gas pipelines, petroleum, petrochemical products), the research of the Safa rolling and pipe mill company started with the consideration of Iran's long-term development plan since 1991 as well as the transfer of the waters of the dams and other construction plans, including the development of railway lines for the development of national railways, in two stages of hot rolling and cold rolling. It was designed and scheduled according to the increasing demand of Iran for transfer pipes, the priority was given to cold rolling. In 2000, the license for the establishment of Production lines for pipe manufacturing with a capacity of 6.1 million tons per year. The construction project of the plant began in a place near Saveh in front of Saveh Industrial City.
The land plot of 700 hectares, due to the extensive scope of the project, includes 220 hectares of infrastructure, including 4 hallways of 4130 meters and various widths between 60 and 90 meters of indoor and indoor warehouses connected to 5 ha production halls for raw materials for work, workshops Repairs and administrative buildings, outdoor cabinets in the hallways of production with a total area of 100 hectares, as well as an area of 200 hectares for the construction of railways and warehouses for raw materials and infrastructure including:

- Industrial water treatment plant includes diluted water with a capacity of 72 cubic meters per hour
- Gas pressure regulating station with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters per hour

- Telecommunication and telephone network with a capacity of 100 external lines and 4000 internal lines along with LAN and WAN with 500 hectare optical cable
- Surface water collection systems, industrial wastewater and treatment plants for the whole plant ;
In October 2002, the first spiral pipeline production line with a capacity of 75,000 tons per year, in accordance with AWWAC200 standard, was started to provide pipelines of 500-3000 mm diameter, followed by a production line in 2007 with a capacity of 200,000 tons per year The production of gas pipes of 20 to 56 inches by spiral method was added to this collection in accordance with the international API-5L standard. The line has already played a major role in meeting the needs of national water projects from different dams to consumption points.
The second line of pipe production began to produce straight seam pipes in 2003 with the very modern 3RBH method. The line is capable of producing pipelines of petrochemical and petrochemical industries with a diameter of 20 to 64 and a thickness of 4.6 to 38.3 mm, and an API-X80 capacity of 675,000 tons per year. This line has produced more than 1000 Kilometers of transmission lines for petroleum products, oil, gas and petrochemical products. In 2004 the first line of pipe covering was started with a three-layer polyethylene and a production capacity of(4 million square meters) per year. All of the pipes produced for oil, gas and water that were produced in this plant had been designed to protect it from corrosion by the above-mentioned working coating. Of course, in subsequent years, due to the development of machinery, the methods of polyurethane coating, polypropylene and the application of petroleum base tar for the interior coating were installed with liquid epoxy, which is currently serving the country's construction projects.
The third line of pipe-laying in 2006 began to produce this line with a capacity of 600,000 tons and an electric resistance welding(ERW) for pipes of diameter 8 to 24 with thicknesses of 4 to 20 millimeters using the most modern equipment manufactured by the German company SMS Meer It is capable of supplying gas, oil and medium pressure pipelines to international standards for the transfer of sweet, acidic and non acidic sour oil products.
The high quality of the tubes produced by this line makes it possible to replace these pipes with seamless pipes. The line is capable of producing and delivering HSS structures of 180x120-500x500mm and 600x400mm for construction purposes in high-rise residential buildings of commercial strength with Mp570. With the prevalence of using this product, more than 30% of the weight of the building has been reduced, which is due to the presence of cities in the event of earthquake faults, an important factor in the safety of the building.
